DISCOVERU CONNECTS
STUDENTS & FAMILIES
DiscoverU's FLO Program provides a student-centered, mentorship-based program that assists under-resourced students gain access to experiential learning programs. DiscoverU addresses systemic barriers that prohibit students from various backgrounds to participate in life-changing learning opportunities. Our students benefit from both the experiences themselves and the application process for those experiences as students build confidence and competence through exposure to novel situations with the guidance and support of a trusted adult.

SCHOOLS & DISTRICTS
DiscoverU's multi-tiered service model provides schools, districts, and CBOs with the appropriate resources, tools, and coaching that compliments their current capacity and creates a system-wide experiential learning culture. Schools and districts partner with DiscoverU because we can accommodate organizations of any size, budget, and need. We offer four levels of service: FLO Virtual and Plus, which include full program execution by our staff via digital tools or in person; FLO Standard, which relies on an employee or volunteer to serve as the campus FLO champion to perform direct service to students; and FLO Access, which provides our technological tools, templates, and best practices to enhance ongoing infrastructure and investment in experiential learning within an organization.

FLO PROGRAMS
DiscoverU collaborates with FLO Programs throughout the entire FLO process-from a student’s initial awareness, to application, and through participation and post-program follow-up. Importantly, we serve as a liaison between summer learning programs and hard-to-reach student populations—we help programs successfully serve underrepresented communities by identifying and supporting diverse and highly motivated student participants that might otherwise be unreachable. On the ground recruitment performed by DiscoverU FLO Advisors helps programs identify quality candidates, and our relationships with schools grants programs an “entre” to campuses. FLO Providers know that DiscoverU students will be vetted, prepared, and supported through the process and will show up on day one of the program.
